Program Description:
Study Abroad Social Media Ambassador Scholarship
Do you want to represent study abroad through our social media accounts during your program? This could be your chance! By being a Social Media Ambassador for our office, you'll earn an extra scholarship and get to show off your perspective of your program! Ideal ambassadors have a social media account, will follow our accounts, have a great attitude, and must be willing to volunteer with our office upon their return from their programs. You'll meet with our coordinator to determine what your social media plan is given the length of your program. All ambassadors will sign off on a social media agreement when you meet with the coordinator of study abroad. 

You'll agree that:
1. You are an ambassador for APSU and should take that seriously.
2. You will post appropriate content highlighting study abroad.
3. You will post the agreed upon times.
4. You will volunteer at the Study Abroad Fair, be a First Friend to The English Language Immersion Program, and any other events deemed necessary.

This scholarship is available for all program terms. Multiple scholarships could be given out depending on the number of applicants and budget restraints.

Please note that only one student per program will be selected.

Eligibility Requirements
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
  • Must be an APSU student
  • Must provide a Letter of Recommendation from an APSU Faculty or Staff Member on Official Letterhead
  • No history of formal student code of conduct violations
  • Not currently on academic probation or suspension
  • Must have applied and be accepted into an APSU Study Abroad Program
  • Students would be expected to volunteer with the Office of Global Engagement Events upon their return

Deadline
- Applicants for winter study-abroad programs must apply by Oct. 15.
- Applicants for spring exchange programs must apply by Oct. 15.
- Applicants for Spring Break programs must apply by Dec. 15.
- Applicants for summer short-term study-abroad must apply by March 1.
- Applicants for fall exchange programs must apply by May 1.
 
Late Applicants will NOT be considered.
