PURPOSE

The gift will be used to establish the Glover's Lock Service Study Abroad Argentina Scholarship at Austin Peay State University. Candidates will be required to write a I,000-word essay explaining the importance of study abroad opportunities relative to cultural diversity within the community at large. This essay should include their personal experiences as members of an under-served population, details on how this scholarship can advance their future goals and ideas on what they can do to promote diversity going forward. The recipients will be chosen by a committee that includes a representative from the Study Abroad and International Exchange Office and the Coordinator(s) of the Study Argentina Program. Criteria:

a. Participating in Study Abroad in Argentina
b. Full time student with 2.25 Cumulative GPA
c. Enrolled in Business or Language and Lit courses, respectively
d. Member of a under-served population including, but not limited to: Multi-racial, LGBTQ, students with disabilities and non-traditional students.
e. Non Renewable (Must reapply each year)
