Program Overview
During this study abroad opportunity, we will explore the Jamaican economy through a mathematical and political lens while also utilizing a learning community format. APSU mathematics and political science students will work together in a learning community, solidifying their learning through service projects. Research (Finley & Staub, 2018) suggests that learning communities build social capital while also generating meaningful social interactions for both students and faculty involved.
