The Office of Study Abroad and International Exchange with National Student Exchange (NSE), provides opportunities for undergraduate students to study away at another NSE member college or university located in US, Guam, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands and Canada.

General Steps
Students must FIRST meet with us. Please call us at 931-221-6851 to make an appointment.
Students must also meet with the APSU Exchange Program Faculty Coordinator (contact below).
Complete the application process at the host institution and/or third party provider.
Complete the APSU study abroad online application.
Register for classes at APSU and at the host institution.
Pay tuition ONLY here at APSU.
Pay for housing and meals at the host institution.
Do your semester abroad! 

Tuition & Fees

When you are a student on NSE Exchange you will pay your regular tuition and fees to your HOME campus. 

Home Payment (Plan B) - student pays their normal tuition and fees to their home campus (and no tuition is paid to the host campus).

Credit-Hours

12-15 hours per semester
During enrollment, the appropriate APSU course number will be assigned to the course in which you enroll.

Financial Aid 

Your current scholarships and financial aid may apply toward the cost of the program. If you plan on using financial aid you need to call the Office of Student Financial Aid at (931) 221-7907 to schedule an appointment with a study abroad counselor.

Eligibility 

Students must meet the following criteria to apply for NSE:

Degree-seeking undergraduate (matriculating) student,
Completed of one term of full-time attendance (12 credit hours) prior to submitting an application,
Completed of one academic year (24 credit hours) prior to your exchange program,
Full-time enrollment at the time of application,
GPA of 2.5 (4.0 scale),
Good academic standing at the time of application,
No incomplete grades from previous terms,
No outstanding financial obligations,
No current or pending probationary status or disciplinary action due to academic dishonesty or student, civil, or criminal misconduct.

Interested students must meet with our NSE coordinator to ensure they are clear on NSE options, requirements, finances and policies before submitting the NSE application.
